Junior Database Support Specialist

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships and academic projects count!)
• Basic SQL and relational database knowledge
• Self-motivated with strong communication skills
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor and troubleshoot SQL Server jobs and database alerts
• Support database administration tasks (backups, restores, performance monitoring)
• Work with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and SQL Server Agent
• Help maintain AWS RDS cloud database environments
• Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and troubleshooting
• Document processes and collaborate with the development team
• Create reports
