Inventory Clerk

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in warehouse operations, including stock checking, picking, packing, put-away, and inventory management.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems such as Tally, SAP, or WMS.
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to lift and handle heavy materials safely and operate warehouse equipment where applicable.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing operational priorities.
• Willingness to work overtime, evenings, or weekends when required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Stock Check

• Conduct regular stock checks to maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Utilize inventory management systems to track stock movements and reconcile discrepancies.
• Identify and report inventory shortages, damages, or variances promptly.

2. Picking

• Pick items accurately according to customer orders and pick lists.
• Ensure the correct quantity and quality of products are selected.
• Follow established picking procedures to minimize errors and maintain operational efficiency.

3. Packing

• Pack picked items securely using appropriate packaging materials.
• Verify packing slips and shipping labels to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe packing area.

4. Put Away

• Receive incoming shipments and store goods in their designated warehouse locations.
• Perform put-away activities efficiently to maximize warehouse space utilization.
• Update inventory records to reflect the correct storage locations.

5. Inventory Management

• Assist with cycle counts and periodic inventory audits.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in coordination with the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Monitor inventory levels of consumables and report replenishment requirements in a timely manner.
