Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in HVAC/MEP projects.
3. Strong experience in HVAC installation, testing, commissioning, and site supervision.
4. Good knowledge of chillers, AHUs, FCUs, package units, split AC units, and VRV/VRF systems.
5. Strong understanding of ducting, chilled water piping, refrigerant piping, insulation, and HVAC accessories.
6. Good knowledge of HVAC testing, commissioning, and TAB procedures.
7. Experience in plumbing installation and testing is highly preferred.
8. Ability to read and interpret HVAC, plumbing, MEP, and shop drawings.
9. Experience in preparing method statements, risk assessments, progress reports, redline drawings, and as-built drawings.
10. Good knowledge of UAE standards, client specifications, and health & safety requirements.
11. Previous UAE/GCC experience is preferred.
12. Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

RESPONSIBILITES

1. Coordinate with clients/contract owners for site surveys, technical discussions, and project requirements.
2. Prepare and obtain approval for Method Statements and Risk Assessments (MSRA).
3. Supervise the installation of HVAC systems, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, package AC units, split AC units, and VRV/VRF systems.
4. Supervise installation of chilled water piping, ducting, insulation, refrigerant piping, and related accessories.
5. Review approved shop drawings and verify actual site conditions; prepare redline and as-built drawings as required.
6. Conduct routine inspections to ensure proper equipment installation, alignment, insulation, piping, and workmanship in accordance with approved drawings and client requirements.
7. Inspect delivered HVAC materials and equipment, verify quantities against purchase orders, check quality, and ensure proper storage.
8. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to the Project Manager.
9. Ensure all HVAC installations comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable standards, and health and safety requirements.
10. Supervise Testing, Adjusting and Balancing (TAB) activities to ensure required airflow, cooling capacity, system performance, and energy efficiency are achieved before handover.
11. Coordinate and supervise HVAC testing, commissioning, and final handover activities.
12. Supervise installation of water supply, drainage, sanitary, sewerage, and stormwater systems, including associated accessories and plumbing fixtures.
13. Manage day-to-day installation activities for water supply and sanitary networks and plumbing equipment such as pumps and water heaters.
14. Review plumbing drawings and ensure installation is executed according to approved drawings and actual site conditions.
15. Prepare and update redline and as-built drawings for plumbing works.
16. Inspect plumbing materials and ensure proper installation and workmanship.
17. Oversee pressure testing, leak testing, functional testing, and commissioning of plumbing systems.
18. Coordinate with other MEP disciplines to ensure proper integration and avoid site clashes.
