Global Regulatory Legal Lead

REQUIREMENTS

• Qualified to practice law in a leading jurisdiction
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in regulatory legal roles, preferably in technology, financial services, or cryptocurrency
• Proven expertise in managing complex regulatory compliance and engaging with global authorities
• Strong knowledge of global financial products, including spot and derivatives trading, payment systems, and digital assets
• Experience leading and managing high-performing legal teams across multiple regions
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with fluency in English
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and high-pressure environment

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage our client’s global regulatory legal team, providing strategic expertise to address complex challenges across all regions
• Develop and execute a global regulatory legal strategy to ensure compliance with diverse international regimes
• Act as the primary legal liaison with regulatory authorities worldwide to build and maintain strong relationships
• Oversee the preparation and management of regulatory filings, licenses, permits, and approvals across multiple jurisdictions
• Provide expert legal advice on regulatory matters affecting products, services, and global business operations
• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments to advise senior management on necessary compliance measures
• Coordinate legal responses to regulatory inquiries, investigations, audits, and enforcement actions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed regulatory considerations into business processes and product launches
• Manage relationships with external legal counsel and oversee team operational functions including budgeting and resource allocation
