Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in senior financial management roles with a strong background in corporate finance, governmental accounting, or non-profit accounting environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of IAS, IFRS, GAAP standards, along with expertise in risk analysis, compliance management, and regulatory reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning to support organizational growth initiatives.
  • Proficiency in financial software applications such as ERP systems or specialized accounting platforms; strong skills in balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing diverse teams while fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of technical accounting concepts including ASC 606 revenue recognition principles and cost management strategies.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data into clear reports that inform executive decision-making; experience writing detailed financial reports is essential. 

RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Lead the preparation and interpretation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), and IAS (International Accounting Standards).
  • Oversee corporate accounting functions such as general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable management, cost accounting, and accrual accounting processes.
  • Manage regulatory reporting requirements and ensure compliance with governmental regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct risk analysis and develop risk management strategies to safeguard organizational assets and ensure operational resilience.
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives to align financial goals with organizational objectives.
  • Supervise treasury management activities including cash flow analysis, investment management, and cost control measures.
  • Oversee financial software systems for accurate bookkeeping, account analysis, and financial data management; implement improvements as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on revenue recognition (including ASC 606 compliance) and profit & loss analysis to optimize financial performance.
  • Lead audits and coordinate with external auditors for public accounting requirements; prepare detailed financial reports for stakeholders.
  • Foster leadership within the finance team by mentoring staff in technical accounting practices such as GAAP, IFRS, ASC 606 revenue management, and governmental accounting standards.
