Estimation Engineer
Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
- Proficient in Auto Cad & Quantity survey
- 1-2 Years experience (minimum)
- Knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policies and systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc.)
- Ability to analyse problems and strategize for better solutions
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Well-organized
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Attention to detail
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and quotations
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to determine project costs
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and feasibility
- Work closely with suppliers, contractors, and clients to gather necessary data
- Assist in tendering, pricing strategies, and cost control measures
- Ensure estimates comply with project timelines and budgets
- Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts
- Obtain samples for finishes, materials etc.
- Obtain quotes from material suppliers and other service providers
- Ensure all purchased items are delivered in a timely manner
- Maintain records of all purchases, pricing and other important data
- Comply with Procurement Schedules for the purchase of equipment and materials (joinery and hardware)
- Review and analyse all vendors/suppliers, supply and pricing options to generate quote comparison sheets
