Estimation Engineer

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
• Proficient in Auto Cad & Quantity survey
• 1-2 Years experience (minimum)
• Knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policies and systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc.)
• Ability to analyse problems and strategize for better solutions
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Well-organized
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
• Attention to detail

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and quotations
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to determine project costs
• Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and feasibility
• Work closely with suppliers, contractors, and clients to gather necessary data
• Assist in tendering, pricing strategies, and cost control measures
• Ensure estimates comply with project timelines and budgets
• Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts
• Obtain samples for finishes, materials etc.
• Obtain quotes from material suppliers and other service providers
• Ensure all purchased items are delivered in a timely manner
• Maintain records of all purchases, pricing and other important data
• Comply with Procurement Schedules for the purchase of equipment and materials (joinery and hardware)
• Review and analyse all vendors/suppliers, supply and pricing options to generate quote comparison sheets
