Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Basic understanding of computer hardware components and operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Familiarity with software troubleshooting techniques for common applications such as Microsoft Office suite and G suite
- Knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN setup, TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, VPNs, firewalls, and network security best practices.
- Experience with help desk ticketing systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist users with technical support requests related to hardware, software, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving computer hardware components, peripherals, and software applications such as Microsoft Office.
- Support network administration tasks including LAN (Local Area Network), DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewall configurations, and Unifi devices.
- Manage user accounts and permissions using Active Directory and GPO (Group Policy Objects).
- Help maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure by supporting server environments like Windows Server.
- Use help desk tools to log your activity.
- Collaborate with team members on network issues involving TCP/IP protocols, DNS configurations, and network security measures like firewalls and mapped drives.
- Assist in deploying updates or patches across systems using management tools.
- Support the setup and maintenance of network devices including switches, routers, and wireless access points like Unifi.
- Communicate clearly with users to explain technical solutions effectively while maintaining a positive attitude.
