Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience in the drilling industry
• Rig site or RTOC experience with offshore exposure
• Familiarity with WITSML, EDR/rig data systems, and operator systems (OpenWells/WellView/Peloton)
• Bachelor’s degree (engineering/technical preferred) or equivalent oilfield experience
• Ability to work nights and weekends in rotation under time pressure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus
• Strong analytical thinking with ability to identify anomalies and problem data quickly
• Thorough knowledge of navigating modern web applications

Preferred

• SQL, Python, HTML, PowerBI, or Spotfire knowledge
• Background as MWD/LWD professional, senior mud logger, or RTOC specialist
• Experience training others on procedures and dashboards

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide 24/7 operational support for drilling data operations across MENA (UAE, KSA, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt)
• Perform live rig/EDR/WITSML QA/QC, detecting gaps, unit/timestamp mismatches, sensor dropouts, and outliers
• Rapidly identify anomalies and triage issues with RTOC, rig, and engineering teams
• Build and maintain customer dashboards; support customers in creating their own
• Prepare daily written reports on operations status, QA/QC findings, and corrective actions
• Test staged systems prior to deployment, execute test plans, and validate fixes
• Develop and maintain operational procedures, runbooks, and quick-start guides
• Cover nights and weekends in rotation to support live operations
