REQUIREMENTS

• CPA required. Significant private-company accounting experience is required, including ownership of accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Experience with year-end financial notes including the tax provision note is required.
• Demonstrated ability to independently solve complex accounting and operational problems and drive projects from concept through implementation.
• Strong background accounting for loans, credit cards, debit cards, deposits, or interest-bearing products is strongly preferred.
• Experience managing accounting across multiple legal entities, including consolidations, intercompany accounting, and eliminations, is strongly preferred.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills
• High proficiency in Excel and financial modeling is required.
• Experience with NetSuite (OneWorld preferred) or similar ERP platforms
• Sound judgment, ownership, and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders

RESPONSIBILITES

• Lead monthly close and financial reporting for our client and support accounting and reporting requirements of the bank holding company.
• Oversee the general ledger, account reconciliations, internal controls, and audit readiness.
• Manage accounting for credit and debit card programs, including revenue recognition, reserves, and partner settlements.
• Own the implementation of a new accounting system and help build the processes, controls, and reporting infrastructure required to support the next stage of growth.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, including the Accounting Manager and Staff Accountant.
• Partner with the CFO on cash forecasting, financial planning, and management reporting.
• Support accounting matters related to the bank holding company structure and regulated financial services environment.
• Work closely with Legal, Compliance, BSA, Risk, HR, Development, and other business functions to support sound business decision-making.
