REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in HVAC preferred
• Relevant HVAC or refrigeration certification/license (e.g., EPA Section 608 certification)
• Proven experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical components related to HVAC systems
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in HVAC work
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Physical ability to handle equipment and work in various conditions
• Strong communication and customer service skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems and related equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in HVAC systems to ensure proper operation.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to avoid system breakdowns.
• Replace or repair defective parts such as compressors, motors, and thermostats.
• Test electrical circuits and components for safety and efficiency.
• Clean and inspect air filters, coils, and other components to maintain air quality.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests.
• Coordinate with other technicians and departments to complete tasks efficiently.
