REQUIREMENTS

• High School / Technical Diploma in Mechanical, Welding, Fabrication or related field
• Minimum 3+ years of welding experience in shipyard, heavy fabrication, or oil & gas industry
• Strong experience in multi-process welding (FCAW, SMAW, MIG/MAG, TIG) Proven ability in structural welding and high-strength steel fabrication
• Must be familiar with fabrication drawings and welding symbols
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX standards (mandatory/preferred) Experience in NDT requirements (UT/MT awareness)
• Valid Welder Certification required
• Ability to work under pressure and handle long working hours / overtime
• Basic English communication skills required
• Strong discipline, reliability, and commitment to quality work

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform welding operations using FCAW, SMAW, MIG/MAG and TIG processes as per job requirements
• Carry out structural fabrication welding for heavy equipment, shipyard, or oil & gas components
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication blueprints .
• Execute welding on carbon steel and stainless steel materials, including high-strength steels Ensure weld quality meets NDT standards (UT/MT requirements) and minimize repair rates.
• Maintain compliance with AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX welding procedures
• Perform welding in various positions including 3G and 2F (as applicable).
• Follow all safety procedures and workplace quality standards
• Support production schedules and be flexible for overtime requirements
• Coordinate with supervisors and fabrication teams for job completion.
