Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 4+ year(s) of experience in a high-volume data entry, administrative, or clerical role, preferably within an accounting or finance department.
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial Data Entry and Verification: Accurately inputting and verifying financial data into accounting software and other electronic systems (e.g., invoices, receipts, payment information, journal entries), ensuring data integrity and adherence to accounting principles.
- Document Handling and Processing: Efficiently processing, organizing, and filing a high volume of financial documents, including vendor invoices, customer payments, expense reports, and bank statements.
- Financial Processing Support: Assisting with the processing of payments, reconciling basic accounts, matching purchase orders to invoices, and preparing financial records for review.
- Record Keeping and Maintenance: Maintaining accurate, organized, and confidential records of all financial transactions and accounting processes, ensuring easy retrieval for audits and reporting.
- Discrepancy Identification and Resolution: Identifying and resolving discrepancies or errors in financial data or processes, escalating complex issues to appropriate accounting personnel.
- Clerical and Administrative Support: Performing general clerical duties as needed to support the accounting department, such as scanning, photocopying, mail distribution, and e-mail monitoring.
- Customer Service (Internal/External as needed): Responding to basic inquiries related to processed transactions from internal departments or external vendors/customers, providing accurate information, and escalating complex issues to senior accounting staff.
