Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
- 2-3 years of proven experience as a Health and Safety Officer in the service sector
- NEBOSH Certificate holder
- Experience with ISO and other audits
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for training and influencing employees
- Detail-oriented with a knack for maintaining accurate records
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or in a team
- Own valid UAE residence visa (required)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement and maintain health and safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulations
- Conduct regular risk assessments, inspections, and audits to identify hazards and suggest corrective actions
- Collaborate with teams to deliver safety training and orientation for new employees
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, analyzing root causes and suggesting preventive measures
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management
- Stay updated on regulations and industry trends, suggesting improvements to enhance safety culture
- Provide advice and guidance to employees and managers on safe work practices
- Participate in incident response activities and emergency drills, offering guidance during emergencies
- Support with other compliance-focused documentation
