REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of one-year work experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
- High school graduate or GED preferred.
- Proficient in computer software and excellent typing skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Previous working experience in customer service, preferably in a medical setting.
- Knowledge of customer service concepts and company policies including safety, privacy and HIPAA.
- Problem solving techniques and skills.
- Proficient in computer software and excellent typing skills with accuracy
- Knowledge of medical terminology a must. Must have computer and phone
experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interprets dictation by physicians and other healthcare professionals in order to assist with the medical dictation with editing and clarification the transcribe reports.
- Recognizes and removes all discrepancies present in the medical dictation in order to create a flawless transcribed radiology report.
- Ensuring that the final draft consists all-important details of clinic and patient information thereby preparing a fully-fledged report
- Knowledge of operating dictation and transcription equipment (Powerscribe) and troubleshoot problems.
- Acts as a communication link between medical transcriptionists and dictation originators, creating a path for two-way feedback
- Maintains systems security
- All other duties as assigned
