REQUIREMENTS

• 1–3 years of experience in background screening, criminal research, or a related compliance role.
• FCRA Certified (current or past) or willingness to obtain certification.
• Proven ability to interpret SSN Trace data, identify jurisdictions, and order appropriate services.
• Familiarity with ClearStar, TazWorks, or similar CRA platforms preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and summarize court dockets.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in research or compliance.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a comprehensive background check and regular drug testing, in accordance with company policy

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze SSN Trace results to identify all relevant names, aliases, and jurisdictions requiring searches based on client due diligence selections and state/federal compliance guidelines.
• Request, review, and manage county, statewide, and federal court searches, ensuring full 7-year coverage for all known names and addresses and follow all applicable laws.
• Request and review full court dockets, when warranted, for clarification on reportable offenses, pending cases, or incomplete dispositions.
• Collaborate closely with the Director of Compliance to ensure all reports meet FCRA, PBSA, and client-specific standards.
• Compare SSN Trace findings against client-specific due diligence standards to determine which county, statewide, or federal searches must be ordered.
• Review criminal record data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Verify potential record matches using identifiers such as DOB, SSN, and address history.
