REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years experience negotiating behavioral-health or medical specialty contracts.
- Deep familiarity with psychiatry CPT codes, add-on codes (e.g., 90833, G2212), TMS, and SPRAVATO® billing.
- Proven success securing strong rates and favorable terms for high-acuity outpatient practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead contract negotiations for commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare Advantage plans across Florida.
- Use existing relationships to open doors and accelerate contracting timelines.
- Negotiate competitive reimbursement rates for psychiatry, psychotherapy add-ons, TMS (90867-90869), and SPRAVATO® services.
- Review all contract terms, identify risks, and recommend improvements.
- Serve as the point of contact to initiate and maintain communication with payor contracting teams.
- Facilitate introductions and warm handoffs where needed.
- Manage escalations with payors related to credentialing or contract setup.
- Coordinate with our internal credentialing contractor/team.
- Guide the practice through payor-specific requirements for participation.
- Troubleshoot delays or issues with enrollment reps or contracting managers.
- Provide insight on Florida-specific behavioral-health reimbursement trends.
- Identify payor carve-outs or special programs relevant to psychiatry/TMS/Spravato.
- Recommend opportunities for periodic renegotiation or improved rates.
- Maintain a simple contract tracker (contacts, rate summaries, contract status).
- Provide weekly updates to practice leadership on progress, next steps, and roadblocks.
