REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 2 years of medical/mental health billing experience
Strong knowledge of insurance credentialing processes
Familiarity with major Ohio payers (Anthem, Aetna, UHC, Cigna, Medicaid plans, etc.)
Experience with EHR or billing software (e.g., TheraNest or SimplePractice preferred)
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and complete insurance credentialing for new and current clinicians (CAQH, NPI, payer enrollment, revalidation)
- Submit, track, and follow up on insurance claims
- Resolve claim denials and rejections promptly
- Post payments, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate records
- Handle unpaid or delayed claims to ensure timely reimbursement
- Communicate with payers, providers, and clients as needed
- Generate regular reports on billing and credentialing status
