RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Migration:
Plan, execute, and oversee data migration activities, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
Develop and implement strategies for migrating data from legacy systems to modern databases.
Performance Tuning:
Analyze and optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and configuration adjustments.
Monitor database performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary.
Database Design and Implementation:
Design and implement database schemas, tables, and relationships to support application requirements.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure database designs align with application architecture.
Security Management:
Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data.
Manage user access and permissions to ensure compliance with security policies.
Documentation:
Create and maintain documentation for database architecture, processes, and procedures.
Document data migration plans and performance tuning strategies for future reference.
Collaboration:
Work closely with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to support database-related needs.
Participate in cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and enhancements.
