REQUIREMENTS

  • Basic understanding of financial and accounting principles.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills including active listening.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with a focus in accounting, finance or related field
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and good knowledge of relevant software (e.g. QuickBooks)
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth daily office operations.
  • Assist with research, filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
  • Utilize bookkeeping software, spreadsheets, and databases to manage financial data.
  • Support accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), banking deposits, and reconciliations.
  • Investigate returned mail by contacting relevant parties (Specialist, PCP, Patient, Emergency Contact, Insurance) and initiate rebilling as needed.
  • Sort incoming mail, scan, and distribute to the appropriate departments or staff.
  • Prepare incoming checks for deposit by entering data into Excel and match check amounts in accounting system.
  • Assist with audits and help resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Conduct financial research and prepare reports to support decision-making.
  • Handling transactional accounting, preparing periodic reports, and supporting month-end close activities.
