REQUIREMENTS

• Strong understanding of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, accrual accounting, and financial concepts.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero) and financial software applications.
• Familiarity with SOX compliance, LIHTC regulations, governmental accounting, and non-profit accounting is a plus.
• Knowledge of securities law, wills, trusts & estate law, corporate finance, and private equity is beneficial.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial reports effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
• Ability to perform account analysis, budget forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Experience in payroll processing and managing financial services operations is advantageous.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform account reconciliations, including balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Support tax-related activities and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Conduct financial analysis, including cash flow analysis and budgeting.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate bookkeeping records.
• Utilize accounting software such as Sage or Xero for various accounting tasks.
• Assist in auditing processes by providing necessary documentation and support.
• Mentor junior staff members in accounting principles and practices.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance financial management practices.
