REQUIREMENTS
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit accounting preferred.
- Must have strong QuickBooks Online experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks Online, Nimble/Salesforce, Adobe, and data management systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the team
- Comfortable working independently in a virtual environment.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to interact with senior executives and external partners.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable / receivable and account reconciliations.
- Posts cash receipts to QuickBooks Online and Nimble/Salesforce.
- Manages weekly Nimble batch export and import
- Manages QuickBooks Online bank feed.
- Manages vendors in QuickBooks Online and Ramp including issuing Vendor Code of Conduct to new vendors, obtaining federal W-9 and ACH banking information.
- Collection of outstanding receivables.
- Reconciles subsidiary ledgers (accounts receivable & accounts payable) to Nimble/Salesforce.
- Assists with preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Assists with annual audit, responding to auditor inquiries, preparing schedules and compiling documentation.
- Provides back-up for customer orders and refunds (membership, education, sponsorships & subscriptions) in the absence of the Member Services Coordinator.
