Job Overview
The Insights Community Lead is a key part of that Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE) and will implement the enablement process for internal customers across the company. This means that you will continuously prioritize and look for ways to enhance the abilities of the internal collaborators and their teams, so they can improve the value of the tools available to them. You will also capture and hand off enhancement requirements to the appropriate Business Relationship manager when discovered to adapt to shifting needs in the business.
What will you be doing?
- Work with the Analytics CoE Director of Business Relationship management to create digital, virtual and physical spaces where collaborators and their team can learn about what tools exist, where and how to best use them for self-service upskilling and knowledge sharing. This may include virtual or physical lunch and learn sessions, a share point landing spot for all documentation and trainings, Analytics days, etc.
- You will also in some case conduct trainings on dashboards for the above-mentioned resources.
- In addition to this you will be the liaison point for the customer facing analytics tool for the external customer and IT to ensure people have the accurate access, permissions, and licensing.
- As part of the liaison responsibilities you will also supervise the usage and ensure that the tool is being used appropriately and use the outcomes you uncover there to focus training efforts.
- On the occasion that you find something that should be automated or migrated you will work with the appropriate business relationship manager to get it into the development pipeline.
What will you need to be successful?
- Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent experience or equivalent in degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or similar education stream.
- 4+ years of extensive PowerBI standard & custom visual development, design, wireframing, storyboarding/storytelling experience.
- Strong SQL knowledge required.
- Experience with SLDC or Agile Methodology using Azure DevOps or JIRA!
- Experience with Alteryx or equivalent ETL and data science application preferable.
- Expert designer of information visualizations and dashboards.
- Solid understanding of data analysis, modelling, report generation and warehousing/data stores concepts.
- Must have a high level of digital literacy with desktop and cloud-based efficiency software such as Office365, Microsoft Office desktop applications, Microsoft Teams etc.
- Expert in selecting the right dashboard design and deployment method for business requirements.
- Power BI Desktop Certification helpful.
- Proficiency with SQL, Microsoft Office tools including strong capabilities with PowerApps, SharePoint, Excel and MS Power point.
- Alteryx designer, Azure/Snowflake Cloud DB, Azure DevOps experience preferred.
- Able to translate technical speak into business speak and vice versa, rationalize technical decisions to business.
- Integrity with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.
- Must be comfortable working at all levels of the organization and possess platform skills, Presence, and confidence.
- Possess the ability to understand business strategy.
- Self-motivated and be able to work independently as well as lead teams in technical/business discussions.
- Effective interpersonal skills and succinct articulation.
- Ability to drive business requirements discussions.
- Hands on, able to work with and mentor team members.
- Able to present to an audience either virtually or face to face.
- UX/UI experience.
