Job Overview
The purpose of this job is to have an Associate Data Architect/Data Architect who can participate in day-to-day activities like solution & data model design, deep dive into business-critical BI reporting and source systems, mentor and give technical leadership and act as a trusted advisor to our range of customers. You need to be passionate enough to think & perform out of the box, to add innovation to improve your daily tasks, and work FAST (Frequently discussed, Ambitious, Specific & Transparent). Strong communication skills is a must! You should be able to drive architecture discussions and voice opinions on best practices where necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and enforcing technical governance by mentoring developers and acting as a Subject Matter Expert on engineering best practices on cloud processing platforms like Microsoft Azure Databricks and visualization tools like PowerBI.
- Acting as a Trusted Advisor for Business stakeholders on client engagements.
- Participating in the end-to-end life-cycle of developing a data solution from estimating efforts, design & development to Quality Assurance and production readiness.
- Designing and implementing data pipelines to collect, clean, and transform data from various sources.
- Building and maintaining data storage and processing systems, such as databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
- Ensuring data is properly secured and protected.
- Developing and implementing data governance policies and procedures.
- Collaborating with business analysts, data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and ensure they have access to the data they need.
- Sharing knowledge with the wider business, working with other BA’s and technology teams to make sure processes and ways of working is documented.
- Collaborate with Big Data Solution Architects to design, prototype, implement, and optimize data ingestion pipelines so that data is shared effectively across various business systems.
- Ensure the design, code and procedural aspects of solution are production ready, in terms of operational, security and compliance standards.
- Participate in day-to-day project and agile meetings and provide technical support for faster resolution of issues.
- Clearly and concisely communicating to the business, on the status of items and blockers.
- Have an end-to-end knowledge of the data landscape.
- Implementing Data Quality tools and best practices to ensure data sanity and validation.
Requirements:
- 9-15 years of professional, hands-on experience building complex solution that collect, process, store and analyze large volumes of business-critical data
- 1-2 years working in an Architect role including: designing and building complex data solutions.
- 2+ years experience with Azure cloud products and services
- 3+ years of experience developing both multidimensional and tabular models with large and complex datasets;
- Working knowledge of Git/Azure DevOps is required.
- Experience in data visualization tools like PowerBI.
- Experience in taking and implementing initiatives related to data quality.
- Proficient in Python, PySpark, and SQL and code optimization techniques.
- Proficient in querying and manipulating data from various DB (relational and big data).
- Experience in writing effective and maintainable unit and integration tests for ingestion pipelines.
- Experience in using static analysis and code quality tools and building CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, and be able to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience working on high-traffic and large-scale Software Products.
- Standout candidates will have experience in SAP e.g: ERP software like SAP Fusion or SAP S/4 HANA.
