REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors or Masters level counselling qualification appropriate to professional standards of the United Kingdom and / or the Republic of Ireland
  • Appropriate training / qualification in working with CYP
  • Experience of working with CYP population
  • Current registration or accreditation with relevant professional body
  • Experience of working with a broad range of psychological health and workplace related issues across both adult and CYP populations. Should include mental health, trauma, stress, relationship issues, child related issues, anxiety, and substance related issues
  • Minimum of 400 hours therapeutic delivery post qualification
  • Experience of working in high pressure, time limited environments
  • Experience in working with high-risk cases such as suicide, abuse, as well as substance use and abuse
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience in CYP role
  • Knowledge and experience of CYP support options available through public health
  • Currently employed or previous experience working for an EAP Provider in the UK and / or The Republic of Ireland
  • Experience of working in a time limited framework
  • Previous intake clinician working experience that includes telephonic, live chat, and email counselling

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide the first point of contact for service users accessing our service either via the helpline or online chat facility
  • Support and contain service users in the moment with brief goal focused therapeutic support and psychoeducation
  • Complete appropriate brief therapeutic assessment to determine the service user needs
  • Conduct robust risk assessments and swiftly implement risk management/safety plans as required
  • Based on the outcome of clinical assessment, identify support available and appropriate to the service user either via the EAP short term counselling or other services, local charities, heath care as clinically appropriate
  • Accurately capture all information on the clinical database pertinent to the clinical management of the case
  • Adhere to all clinical and operational protocols, standards, service levels and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with our global clinical teams
  • Liaising with affiliate clinicians for appointments and case updates as required
  • Contribute to the service and business development as required
  • Flexibility in working hours and activities in line with business needs
  • Support providers by reviewing clinical assessments, sessional notes and appropriate management of cases in line with clinical protocols and standards
  • Play an active role in governance and quality assurance as required
  • Review parental assessments to assess suitability to proceed for CYP support/assessment as appropriate
  • Conduct robust CYP specific therapeutic assessments
  • Offer subject matter expert advice on CYP specific queries across the team and be a go to for the team/service where appropriate
  • Support the development of the CYP proposition in the business including processes, clinical protocols and CYP collateral
  • Accurately capture all information on the clinical database pertinent to the clinical management of the case
  • Supporting our CYP network providers and monitoring clinical management of cases
  • Effectively and appropriately case manage CYP case load in a timely fashion
  • Lead on building and maintaining CYP and Parenting specific support materials / signposting resources
